Celerity Logo
Celerity is a service that allows you to search and browse tables of contents from a comprehensive list of journals from different publishers and various preprint sources, all on one Web site. It is updated in `real time' - new tables of contents and preprints are added to the service as soon as the respective publisher's Web site is updated. Celerity allows you to monitor journal or preprint content from one single Web site. Celerity also provides links from the tables of contents to the abstract and to the full text of articles.

The SICRIS information system is being developed and maintained by the Institute of Information Science in Maribor (IZUM) under the authority of and in co-operation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

SICRIS has been on the Internet since 1998; the present version (SICRIS 2.0) was activated on November 15th, 2000.

This series of "virtual" journals in the physical sciences has been jointly developed by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) and the American Physical Society (APS). Each of the virtual journals presents an online collection of relevant papers from a broad range of "source" journals in the physical sciences. Participating source journals include all journals published by APS and AIP, journals from participating publishers on AIP's Online Journal Publishing Service (OJPS), Science, and Nature. From the user's perspective, the virtual journals look and feel like "real" journals, providing useful features such as:
  • Tables of Contents
  • Freely available abstracts
  • Links to source journal home pages, abstracts, and full-text articles.
